Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa

Event – Badminton Doubles

Jwala and Ashwini are India’s most successful women’s doubles pair. They created history in 2011 when they became the first Indian doubles’ pair to win a medal at the world championships. They won a Bronze medal at the world championships in London 2011. Prior to that Jwala and Ashwini became the Commonwealth champions by winning the Gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. They will be representing India in their second Olympics in Rio 2016.

They have been bringing glory to India for many years now and hopefully with OGQ support they can win many more laurels and perform to their best at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
