Power Your Champion

It has long been a dream of sports legends and co-founders of Olympic Gold Quest, Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone to make OGQ into a nation wide movement. The 'Power your Champion' program is the first step in that direction. The eventual goal of this program is to get a million Indians contributing at least Rs. 100 each per month which would go towards the training and preparation of India's top athletes across Olympic sports.

The basic idea of 'Power your Champion' is simple. When we spend much more than Rs.100 every other day at coffee shops, why wouldn't the people of India want to contribute a similar amount every month which could go towards a program that could create India's next Olympic Champions. A quick back of the envelope calculation tells us that if a million Indians contribute at least Rs. 100 each per month, OGQ could support the training and preparation of at least 2000 grass root level athletes. Small regular monthly donations would pinch no one, and yet everyone would feel proud that they are contributing towards building India's next Olympic Champion.

What really distinguishes the program is the people and the organization backing it. OGQ strives to maintain the highest degree of credibility, transparency and impact. All the members of the Board of OGQ are people of the highest achievement and credentials in the sports and corporate world. We will be making our audited accounts and spends on athletes available for public consumption. And finally, OGQ promises impact through performance. The mission is simple - To win Olympic gold medals.

The strength of the 'Power your Champion' program lies in its simplicity and the power of volumes. OGQ wants every patriotic Indian to contribute and make a difference to India sport and feel the pride of the national anthem being sung when an Indian athlete wins the Olympic Gold medal.
