Pooja Ghatkar is one of India’s best shooters in the 10m Air Rifle event. She won both the selection trials and was selected as the top rifle shooter for the 2013 World Cup squad. At the 2014 Asian Championships in Kuwait, Pooja beat Olympic champion Yi Siling to win the Gold medal.

Pooja won silver at the 34th National Games at Ranchi and was also selected in the Indian team for the ISSF World Cup at Sydney and Changwon based on her strong performances. She bettered this feat when she won the Gold medal at the 2015 National Games in Kerala.

The Pune girl currently trains at the Balewadi Shooting Range in Pune. Pooja has immense talent and she is being groomed for the 2016 Olympics.
